Why
We recognize that Nark Report articles contain so much detail and thoughtful analysis, that most of our content is beyond the understanding of average readers. In order to fulfill our mission of combatting fake news, our Nark Score is comprised of articles written by other news organizations whose readership is simple-minded.
From a philosophical perspective, we’d rather you read news from sources that we deem to be average than those that are marginal or complete failures.
Rules
Each week, we sample 5 articles from news organizations and score them based on our system:
- Score
- -10 points for each factual error.
- -1 point for each spelling or grammatical error.
- Rank
- Articles are ranked based on the least number of errors and we publish the results HERE.
- Selection Process
- Since there are more than 5 average news organizations, once per week, our computer randomly selects 4 organizations. This is to ensure that a news organization cannot game our system.
- Bias
- By default, a Nark Report article is always ranked Number One.
