During a Washington D.C. press conference, President Joe Biden stated: “My new mandate for Hollywood is designed to ensure that actors are cast appropriately in all movies and TV shows.”
But MSNBC’s anchor Brian William’s question caused a chilling follow-up from the President: “Let’s say that there’s a Biopic about a particular person, then only that person should be eligible to play themselves.”
“Can you give us an example?” William’s quickly followed up.
“Let me be clear,” Biden stated: “If Miramax does a movie about my friend Howard Hughes, then I’m mandating that Howard plays the role of himself!”
Williams lead everyone in the audience with shouts of support and applause that lasted for over two minutes.
All except, one reporter: The Joe Biden question.
Mandiee Justins, a freshman reporter for Park Hill High School reached for the microphone and asked, “Mr. President, Howard Hughes is dead. How is he going to play his character in a movie?”
The crowd of professional reporters was in an uproar with Andrea Mitchell exclaiming “…how dare you!”
But Biden, always the stateman, remained calm “I wasn’t aware of that…just shared a cup of cocoa with him the other day…”
Mitchell wasn’t having any of it “…leave the President alone!”
Undeterred, Justins pressed the President further: “There already have been many movies about Hughes. One of them starred Leonardo DiCaprio and was produced by Miramax, you know, Harvey Weinstein’s company. Not a single one starred Hughes. Are you going to begin a federal investigation and have the IRS claw-back all of the money made by these movies?”
The President was hurriedly removed from the stage by Secret Service and everyone was ordered out of the White House.
Jen Psaki walks back Joe Biden
What the President said was that, and I quote: “Any actor can play any role.”
“Will there be a Hollywood Mandate?!” shouted Maria Bartiromo.
Psaki retorted, “I’m not taking questions from you or your network.”
Williams then asked: “Will there be a Hollywood Mandate?”
“Yes, of course. Thank you all for coming.”
Off the Record: Joe Biden’s Hollywood Mandate

During a discussion about Dogecoin with Brian Williams and David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs and William’s financial advisor, Solomon was allegedly overheard saying, “I completely support the President in any mandates that he passes as long as they get butts back in seats at HQ. Our country was built on maximizing the numbers of workers who physically surround the CEO regardless of what they’re doing.”
