Following a leaked report of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s tax returns, Pelosi was overheard commenting to Brian Williams, MSNBC’s news anchor: “…so I talked with Rudy (Giuliani, legal counsel) and Hunter (Biden, business advisor) and we determined that my investment in TikTok is sound.”

While drinking martinis at Murphy’s Tavern in New York City, Dave Solomon (CEO of Goldman Sachs) commented to Martin Baron (editor, Washington Post), “…it’s a growing communication channel to young people based in China. Why wouldn’t she invest?”
Williams later recalled the discussion while talking with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell: “Did you hear that Nancy is going to buyout Zhang Yiming so she can control TikTok?! She just can’t get enough of Lil Nas X’s song Old Town Road.”
