
During a meeting held at Camp David, US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson began to discuss the synergies expected to be obtained by the US purchasing the UK.
“Our intent is to become a part of the United States, the 51st State, on November 1!” Johnson was overheard shouting at Trump by passengers passing by on Park Central Road.
A well-placed source revealed that the sticking point was the ongoing negotiations between Canada and Scotland on Canada’s planned annexation of Scotland.
Trump tweeted about the secret meeting: “I’m not giving up Trump Turnberry resort in Scotland. Maybe we can trade Wales for Scotland to the Canadians. Trudeau can be a real pain. We’ll see.”
Reaction to the news was mostly positive according to a New York Times/Fox News poll of 12 British citizens.
When she learned about the news via Twitter, leading US Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson responded: “as long as love is involved, we can make this work.”
Jerome Powell, chair of the US Federal Reserve indicated that the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, and Goldman Sachs had been retained by the Trump administration to advise on the acquisition. “I don’t like President Trump, but I believe, and the numbers will bear me out, this deal makes a lot of sense with the ongoing consolidation of countries.”
