February 5, 2015 – Manhatten, NY – Bob Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment, allegedly stated during a conversation at his 30 Rock office with Matt Lauer “…and that’s why I absolutely stand behind Admiral William’s reporting of his personal helicopter being forced down by enemy fire in Iraq on several occasions during 2003. I’ve received word from the U.S. Department of Defense that they are sincerely grateful to the Admiral for lending them his AgustaWestland AW101 during the war.”
Lauer responded, “is that the same helicopter he lent to the city of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina?”
“The very same one, Matt. That’s why we’re going to let the Admiral retire from NBC News with honor and then bring him back a few months later to host MSNBC. After all, I need William’s helicopter for my weekly commute from Central Park to 30 Rock.”
